This morning, Google finally unveiled details of the network’s capabilities, products and pricing for Google Fiber, a new super high-speed fiber network only available in Kansas City. Last week, a few of us from Compass Intelligence (James Brehm, Dilip Sarangan, and I) went to Plano, TX to go tour both the AT&T Foundry and Alcatel-Lucent's Gravity Centre. We had varying levels of knowledge regarding the Foundry. I personally went to the grand opening back in early 2011, it was Dilip's first visit, and James had previously visited the Palo Alto Foundry.

Whether the industry is ready for it or not, mobile applications are making its way into the Healthcare industry. Of course most of this is being lead by the patients themselves or doctors accessing medical information to support patient care, but there is little to no activity of mobile applications being used at the point of care.
